Post Hurricane Irma
Hello everyone! I’ve been off the internet for 2 weeks due to Hurricane Irma and her lousy temper, so I’m extending the “Name the Chicken Contest” until October 15. I’ll be writing about our experience through the storm in an upcoming post. In the meantime, we truly appreciate all your prayers for us, and praise God we were not affected like some shown here. Please keep all these people in your prayers for recovery (financially and emotionally).
To review, I’ve listed below the submitted names so far, and the votes. Looks like we have five names with votes, so make sure to vote today. The top two names by a vote wins this book!
“The City Homesteader,” to assist in a self-sustaining lifestyle–even if you live in the city!

Update
The chick in the picture above is turning out to be a Silver Laced Wyandotte, and our black runt looks like she may be a Rosecomb Bantam. She is the only one laying eggs, tiny and white, only 1 3/4″ inches across!
